PechaKucha   Night : New Orleans : Volume 4Conversations about the GulfThursday June 10th,  2010The Building  Block at the  Icehouse [map]  ———————————————————————————————- In essence, PechaKucha is a  conversation starter, a networking opportunity, and an informal night for folk to come together, share and draw inspiration. And just as crucially, it’s a brilliant night out- Specialty Cocktails, Tasty  Nibbles, Visual Treats, and a chance to connect with ideas and creatives in our disparate community.The key to PechaKucha is its patented democratic  system. Each presenter is allowed 20 images, for 20 seconds each - giving 6 minutes 40 seconds  of time.
NO/other and The Building  Block at the Icehouse has invited 10 practitioners from various fields in the local creative and academic  community.

Dan    Favre: Gulf Restoration Network Campaign Director 
Ritchie Katko: Landscape architect;    recently went to Haiti to assist with site mapping
Lauren Goldfinch: FutureProof LEED Project Administrator
Michel Varisco:  Environmental Artist / Photographer
Don    Blancher: Systems Ecologist, ED of Groundwork NO
Bob    Tannen: BID in environmental design, MFA; Artist, designer, urban planner and activist
